My name is Tracey Fitzgerald
I am a trauma specialist with over 25 years of experience working in mental health and addiction services , committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to support your healing and resilience.. My approach integrates Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and somatic therapies to support deep and lasting healing from trauma and past experiences.
Since 2022, I’ve been working in private practice, providing assessment and treatment for a range of concerns including PTSD, anxiety, depression, and addiction. My work is grounded in compassion, clinical expertise, and a belief in your capacity to heal and thrive.
Taking the first step toward therapy is both brave and meaningful—so thank you for being here. Reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, and I aim to make the process as comfortable and straightforward as possible.
I offer a collaborative, client-centred, and trauma-informed space where healing can unfold at your pace. I believe that with the right support, people can reconnect with themselves, build resilience, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a gentle, research-backed therapy that helps people heal from trauma and other difficult life experiences, including PTSD, anxiety, and depression.
EMDR works by using bilateral stimulation—soft, rhythmic left-to-right movements—that support the brain’s natural ability to process and release distressing memories.
This approach is especially helpful for experiences that feel “stuck,” allowing those memories to be safely reprocessed so they no longer feel overwhelming. Many people find EMDR leads to greater emotional relief, clarity, and a renewed sense of calm and balance.
CBT is a collaborative, evidence-based approach that focuses on helping you reach your goals. It’s typically time-limited, and we’ll regularly review progress together to make sure the therapy is effective and aligned with your needs.
At its core, CBT explores how your thoughts, emotions, physical symptoms, and behaviours are all connected. Together, we’ll identify patterns that may be unhelpful or keeping you stuck, and work on practical strategies to shift them.
I have always been a strong advocate for high-quality, reflective supervision. Throughout my career as both a nurse and a therapist, I’ve seen the profound impact that effective supervision can have—not only in supporting clinical growth, but in helping us flourish as individuals.Whether you're looking for clinical supervision, professional support, or reflective space, I aim to help you be the best version of yourself—for both your clients and your own wellbeing.
